The Role We are looking for a motivated and skilled Chartered Building Surveyor to lead our professional services team, specializing in: • Party Wall Matters: Advising on and managing party wall agreements, notices, and dispute resolutions under the Party Wall etc. Act 1996. • Expert Witness Services: Providing expert testimony and reports for construction disputes and legal proceedings. • Dilapidations: Preparing and negotiating schedules of dilapidations, advising landlords and tenants on lease-end obligations. • Additional responsibilities include conducting building surveys, managing client relationships, and leading project delivery. Key Responsibilities • Lead the delivery of party wall, expert witness, and dilapidations services. • Conduct detailed building surveys, inspections, and condition reports. • Provide expert advice to clients, ensuring compliance with RICS standards. • Manage and mentor junior team members to support their professional development. • Build and maintain strong client relationships to drive business growth. What We’re Looking For • Qualifications: Chartered status with RICS (MRICS or FRICS) is desirable but not essential. • Experience: Proven expertise in party wall matters, expert witness services, and dilapidations, with a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience. • Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines. • Location: Ideally based in or willing to work from our Swansea office. • Desirable: Knowledge of local Swansea and South Wales property markets.
