Job Purpose: • As part of the Procurement Team and working closely with stakeholders to provide a responsive procurement service that supports the Group ambitions What this Job does: • To lead on design, development and implementation of Procurement contract areas for a range of goods and services • To manage a portfolio of contracts to achieve Value for Money. • Undertake the arrangement of Procurement contracts and contract management. • To maximise efficiency gains from all Procurement activity in line with the Value for Money Strategy • To ensure all Procurement activity is compliant with Public Contract Regulations 2015 and the Group Procurement strategy • To identify contract management and to ensure smooth transition post contract award • To deliver commercial / contractual advice to both internal and external stakeholders • To be able to use and understand eProcurement tools. • To ensure compliance in line with the Group Policies & Procedures • To develop efficient and responsive procurement processes which support the Group’s objectives • To lead on high value strategic group contracts • To compile reports as necessary to recommend contract awards • To deal with suppliers and contractual issues • To provide statistical and analytical reports as required • Identify and be aware of different Frameworks available to the Group • As part of the wider Corporate Operations team, provide support to achieve department objectives. Experience Sound Knowledge in the Procurement of Goods / Services & Works Sound Knowledge of National & EU legislation in relation to Procurement Experience of the Social Housing sector Experience of utilising E-Procurement Systems (Sell2Wales, Bravo Solution) Skills & Abilities Prepared to challenge and be challenged, with a genuine enthusiasm for continuous improvement. Competent Information Technology user, with experience of computerised Microsoft Excel and Word. Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, in both the verbal and written medium. Ability to manage time effectively, prioritise workload and meet deadlines. Ideally Qualified to MCIPS
