A) Acute Hospital Social Worker Experienced - Adults £31LTD 3 months - Charlton Lane Hospital We have a new opportunity to join a small team of experienced adults Social Worker based in Charlton Lane mental health hospital, but part of the wider Adult Social Care Acute (hospital) team. This role will involve working autonomously and with regular supervision; however being part of a wider team, there is an expectation of team working and supporting across the general hospitals (in Cheltenham and Gloucester) at times of increased demand. Gloucestershire County Council Adult Social Care is on an exciting innovation journey, working towards a three conversation model; which re-emphasises a focus on people, their strengths and the networks and community around them. We are looking for an agency Social Worker, who role models these behaviours and who is competent and knowledgeable in all areas of Adult Social Care practice. This includes a sound and evidenced understanding of the legislative frameworks and an individual who has experience in a hospital setting (preferably mental health) and evidenced continued professional development, to ensure their practice quality is constantly evolving. Countywide travel will be expected as a part of this role therefore candidates must have the ability to travel throughout the county. B) CSC Forest and Tewkesbury Locality Mgt, Service Manager £42.50LTD 6 months -Gloucestershire County Council Shire Hall Gloucestershire are looking to recruit a Service Manager to support Tewkesbury and the Forest of Dean district Assessment and Safeguarding Teams. This role will provide operational support and oversight to half of the team managers, working with the HoS to ensure a high quality service is provided. Our vision is to ensure all children within the service receive excellent support through high quality assessments and timely interventions so that they have the best opportunity to remain in their families. Applicants should be experienced in management of frontline services and have a desire to support the improvement and upskilling of the service. C) EDT, Social Work Senior Practitioner £35LTD - 12 months Gloucestershire County Council Shire Hall Westgate Street We are looking for experienced EDT social workers to cover the county of Gloucestershire. Social workers will cover Adults & Children’s but we are looking for staff with experience in children’s care primarily. The AMHP role is not part of Gloucestershire’s EDT. The idea candidate will be flexible and dynamic in covering shifts in evenings or weekends. D) ISCM, Advanced Practitioner 38LTD Adults - 3 months Gloucestershire County Council Shire Hall Westgate Street We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced adult’s advanced practitioner to join our busiest team. The successful candidate will line manage and supervise social workers who are working on a range of complex cases with people, their families and carers across Gloucester. Therefore this role will involve undertaking professional supervision, co – working more complex casework and focusing on practice quality – including conducting joint visits, shadowing social workers and monitoring assessments. Gloucestershire County Council Adult Social Care is on an exciting innovation journey, working towards a three conversation model; which re-emphasises a focus on people, their strengths and the networks and community around them. We are looking for one agency advanced practitioner who can inspire and role model these behaviours and who are competent and knowledgeable in all areas of Adult Social Care practice. This includes previous line management or supervisory experience, a sound and evidenced understanding of the legislative frameworks and an individual who has evidenced continued professional development, to ensure their practice quality is constantly evolving. The role will involve working between the core hours of 09:00 - 17:00 and is primarily office based, to encourage a reflective working environment. As an Advanced Practitioner in the team you will also be required to travel in and around Gloucester, so the ability to work across the County is required. You will be offered regular supervision and support in your role E) ISCM, Social Worker Experienced - Adults 31LTD - 3 months Gloucestershire County Council Shire Hall Westgate Street We have two exciting opportunities for experienced adult’s social worker's to join our busiest team. The successful candidate will manage a range of complex cases working in a city centre team with a range of people, their families and carers. Gloucestershire County Council Adult Social Care is on an exciting innovation journey, working towards a three conversation model; which re-emphasises a focus on people, their strengths and the networks and community around them. We are looking for two agency social workers, who role model these behaviours and who are competent and knowledgeable in all areas of Adult Social Care practice. This includes a sound and evidenced understanding of the legislative frameworks and an individual who has evidenced continued professional development, to ensure their practice quality is constantly evolving. The role will involve working between the core hours of 09:00 - 17:00 and is primarily office based, to encourage a reflective working environment. As a Social Worker in the team you will also be required to travel in and around Gloucester, so the ability to work across the County is required. You will be offered regular supervision and support in your role F) Fostering Support, Social Work Senior Practitioner 35LTD 6 months - Gloucestershire County Council Shire Hall Westgate Street : Agency social worker required who has experience in fostering to join the Fostering Support Team. Role includes supporting and supervising foster carers to ensure they provide the best quality care to meet the needs of vulnerable children as set out in their care plan. Safeguarding is our priority and we ensure that households comply with the National Minimum Standards for fostering. We supervise 190 fostering households in the team, run support groups and support with foster carer training. Ideal candidate will be able to fit into this busy but welcoming team, undertake annual reviews, hold a caseload, help with identifying placements for children and undertake office duty. Regular reflective supervision is prioritised by managers in the team, opportunities to learn and develop skills are available.
