Social Worker responsible for completing Best Interest Assessments as part of the Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards process which is a statutory responsibility under the Mental Capacity Act 2005. Their role will require them to undertake three of the six required assessments which combined with the s12 Doctors assessments will inform the Supervisory Body’s decision to authorities (or not)  the deprivation. 
The assessments will need to be carried out within the statutory timescales and recorded on the required documentation. 
This work will take place predominantly across the City and County of Swansea however there may be occasions 
when this will need to take place in a setting which is out of county.
