1. To inspect and assess the condition of premises (including void properties) identifying defects, hazardous materials, health and safety hazards, regulatory compliance and other deficiencies. Including (but not limited to): desk-top appraisal of property condition and related documentation. full condition survey, assessing and prioritising condition items in accordance with current criteria, identifying responsibility for repair and source of finance (eg revenue or capital). estimating cost of carrying out condition and repair works. checking asbestos register and plans and updating as necessary; making recommendations on condition or risks associated with asbestos. checking legionella records are being maintained checking fire risk assessments are in place and being managed taking a photographic record of the condition of the property and any identified hazards checking boundaries / encroachments, etc opening and closing meetings with building user preparing written report of the survey / meetings Qualifications and Experience Essential 1. Membership of the RICS or other recognised appropriate professional body. Alternatively considerable relevant experience in building surveying (particularly maintenance or condition) to a minimum of RICS APC level. 2. Broad range of experience of differing building types and uses, including schools and listed buildings. 3. The ability to work with computers and industry standard software with a demonstrable level of computer literacy and working knowledge.

DURATION 4-6 MTHS INITIALLY
